If it’s to low of a wattage it will overheat and damage the charger, and possibly the MacBook. It won't overheat. That 20W charger is huge enough to easily dissipate heat (and quick enough to charge up that MBA without spending too much time outputting heat). Even that 30W charger is overkill for that MBA.
